Although precise laboratory methods for measuring psychopathology are not available, interviewer-rated instruments developed to assess symptomatology can be used to monitor schizophrenic patients undergoing rehabilitation. By regularly assessing patients, rehabilitation staff can improve the effectiveness of their interventions.
