The cross-linked homodimer of S19 ribosomal protein (RP S19) induces monocyte predominant infiltration due to a dual effect on the C5a receptor in leukocyte chemotaxis, agonistic to monocytes and antagonistic to polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) (H.
