Preparation and characterization of a new polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) based on polyacrylamideg-alginate and chitosan has been carried out. The experimental conditions for efficient grafting and subsequent complex formation have been optimized. The polyelectrolyte complex has been characterized by IR and TGA techniques.
