Ciprofloxacin polylactic microcapsules were prepared by the phase separation process. Two types of polylactic acid, poly(d,l)lactic acid and poly(l)lactic acid were combined as membrane materials to prevent the aggregation which happened frequently in the phase separation process. The polymer compositions of the microcapsules can influence the release rate of Ciprofloxacin. The optimal release rate of the drug can be obtained by modifying microcapsule compositions.
