In economy, viewed as a quantum system working as a circuit, each process at the microscale is a quantum gate among agents. The global configuration of economy is addressed by optimizing the sustainability of the whole circuit. This is done in terms of geodesics, starting from some approximations. A similar yet somehow different approach is applied for the closed system of the whole and for economy as an open system. Computations may partly be explicit, especially when the reality is… Expand

Geometry of Quantum Computation with Qudits
This work investigates the circuit complexity of quantum qubit system evolution in terms of qudit system using the Riemannian geometry and finds that the optimal quantum circuits are equivalent to the geodetic evolutions in specially curved parametrization of SU(dn). Expand
Quantum Computation as Geometry
It is shown that finding optimal quantum circuits is essentially equivalent to finding the shortest path between two points in a certain curved geometry, recasting the problem of finding quantum circuits as a geometric problem. Expand
A Resource Theory for Work and Heat
This work proposes a resource theory of quantum thermodynamics without a background temperature, so that no states at all come for free, and applies this resource theory to the case of many non-interacting systems, and shows that states are classified by their entropy and average energy. Expand
Universal quantum computation with qudits
A proposal for a universal circuit is given based on the qudit system, which is larger and can store more information, and an explicit set of one- and two-qudit gates is provided for the universal qudit computation. Expand
Specifying the Unitary Evolution of a Qudit for a General Nonstationary Hamiltonian via the Generalized Gell-Mann Representation
A new general formalism describing the unitary evolution of a qudit (d≥2) in terms of the Bloch-like vector space is introduced and how, in a general case, this formalism is related to finding time-dependent parameters in the exponential representation of the evolution operator under an arbitrary time- dependent Hamiltonian is specified. Learning a Local Hamiltonian from Local Measurements.
This work shows that Hamiltonians of an isolated quantum system with local interactions from long-ranged correlators of a single eigenstate can be recovered from local observables alone, using computational and measurement resources scaling linearly with the system size. Expand
Information in statistical physics
The concept of relevant entropy associated with some set of relevant variables characterizes the information that is missing at the microscopic level when only these variables are known and is supported by the paradox of Maxwell's demon. Expand
Quantum state tomography of a single qubit: comparison of methods
The tomographic reconstruction of the state of a quantum-mechanical system is an essential component in the development of quantum technologies. We present an overview of different tomographicExpand

The von Neumann entropy S( D ^ ) generates in the space of quantum density matrices D ^ the Riemannian metric ds2 = −d2S( D ^ ), which is physically founded and which characterises the amount ofExpand
A new class of entropic information measures, formal group theory and information geometry
This work explores the conditions that ensure the existence of some natural properties and at the same time of a group-theoretical structure for a large class of entropies and proposes a method for constructing new divergences from known ones. Expand
