Results are reported from a study of the hematological and histological responses of mice to gamma radiation and the lethal effects of daily exposure to various doses of gamma radiation throughout life. An analysis is presented of the survival data in terms of the mean survival times and the main components of the variance. The quantitative relations between lethality and tissue injury are examined.
