CCD observations of 68 eclipsing binary systems, candidates for containing δ Scuti components, were obtained. Their light curves are analysed using the period04 software for possible pulsational behaviour. For the systems QY Aql, CZ Aqr, TY Cap, WY Cet, UW Cyg, HL Dra, HZ Dra, AU Lac, CL Lyn and IO UMa, complete light curves were observed due to the detection of a pulsating component. All of them, except QY Aql and IO UMa, are analysed with modern astronomical softwares in order to determine…

RY AQUARIUS A BINARY SYSTEM WITH PULSATING δ-SCUTI PRIMARY COMPONENT

We present simultaneous new BVI light curves along with radial velocity curve analysis of the RY Aqr system, using the PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs code. The analysis indicates that while the

BINARITY AND PULSATION IN ALGOL-TYPE BINARY SYSTEM SX DRACONIS

Photometric observations of SX Dra were carried out to determine the properties of the components and pulsational characteristics of the more massive pulsational component. Physical parameters of the

ON THE PULSATIONAL–ORBITAL-PERIOD RELATION OF ECLIPSING BINARIES WITH δ-SCT COMPONENTS

We have deduced a theoretical relation between the pulsation and orbital-periods of pulsating stars in close binaries based on their Roche lobe filling. It appears to be of a simple linear form, with

TIME-SERIES SPECTROSCOPY OF THE PULSATING ECLIPSING BINARY XX CEPHEI

Oscillating Algol-type eclipsing binaries (oEA) are very interesting objects that have three observational features of eclipse, pulsation, and mass transfer. Direct measurement of their masses and

Asteroseismic Analysis of δ Scuti Components of Binary Systems: The Case of KIC 8504570

The present work concerns the Asteroseismology of the Kepler-detached eclipsing binary KIC 8504570. Particularly, it focuses on the pulsational behaviour of the oscillating component of this system

Spectroscopic and photometric studies of a candidate pulsating star in an eclipsing binary: V948 Her

Eclipsing binary stars with a pulsating component are powerful tools that allow us to probe the stellar interior structure and the evolutionary statuses with a good accuracy. Therefore, in this

Asteroseismology of Kepler Algol-type oscillating eclipsing binaries

Context. This research paper contains light curve modelling, spectroscopy, and detailed asteroseismic studies for four out of a total of five semi-detached eclipsing binaries with a δ Scuti component

Asteroseismic Analysis of $\delta$ Scuti Components of Binary systems: The Case of KIC 8504570

The present work concerns the Asteroseismology of the Kepler detached eclipsing binary KIC 8504570. Particularly, it focuses on the pulsational behaviour of the oscillating component of this system
