PURPOSE OF REVIEW Nasal obstruction causing airway resistance is often a result of structural abnormalities. Frequently, turbinate reduction procedures have been used after failure of medical management to address enlarged inferior turbinates, which potentially cause functional narrowing at the nasal valve.
