An area of intramedullary spinal cord enlargement at the thoracolumbar junction was identified by myelography in each of two dogs. Exploratory laminectomy followed by durotomy and myelotomy permitted removal of an intramedullary neoplasm in each dog. In one animal the tumour was diagnosed to be an ependymoma, in the other the tumour had the characteristics of a nephroblastoma.
