PURPOSE To describe the long-term surgical course of patients with open globe injury. DESIGN Retrospective case series. METHODS Patients with open globe injuries (848 in total) treated surgically at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary between 2000 and 2009 were retrospectively reviewed.
