The no. 0-14 cleft involves the midline of the face and cranium. [] Key Method We have conducted a retrospective analysis of our series consisting of 32 cases of Tessier no. 0 cleft, in the period between 1997 and 2007. The patients were divided into 2 groups: those with the true median cleft and those with the false median cleft. The clinical findings, lip malformation, alveolar cleft, nasal appearance, septal involvement, associated deformities, and surgical procedures, were all reviewed. Holoprosencephaly…
Surgical Repair of a Median Cleft of the Upper Lip via a Pfeifer Incision: A Case Report
TLDR
Treatment included reconstruction of the philtrum and the cupid's bow while maintaining vermilion fullness and continuity, and minimizing scar formation using Pfeifer incision to correct the patient's defect.
Nose clefts: own experience of treatment with different types of congenital nasal anomalies
TLDR
The nose cleft is not always a part of craniofacial clefts as isolated forms of such malformations can also occur, and this type of congenital anomaly requires always an individual treatment plan.
Oral-Nasal-Ocular Cleft: The Greatest Challenge Among the Rare Clefts
TLDR
A retrospective analysis of the functional outcome and aesthetic results of the different techniques applied for each case of Tessier number 3 cleft, one of the most difficult and challenging malformations to correct for the reconstructive surgeon, is conducted.
A rare case of surgical correction of bifid nose in an Adult: A Case Report
TLDR
This patient presented to us with a bizarre facial cleft which was classified as a combination of Tessier no. 0 and 1 cleft.

Surgical Management of Median Cleft Lip Extending as Far as Alveolus Using Bone Grafting.
TLDR
The case of a 6-year-old boy who presented at the hospital with a median cleft and alveolus of the upper lip with a shortened bifid frenulum, with proper approximation of the orbicularis oris muscle and vermilion were achieved.
Median cleft of the upper lip: A new classification to guide treatment decisions.
Management of a Large Frontal Encephalocoele With Supraorbital Bar Remodeling and Advancement.
TLDR
A 2-month-old male infant was referred to authors' craniofacial unit with a problem of a supranasal encephalocoele with a large frontal bone defect and splayed nasal bones, classified as Tessier number 10 facial clefts.
Anatomic landmark approach to reconstruction of asymmetric midline cleft lip due to Pai syndrome
TLDR
The details of surgical repair are described in the context of a patient with Pai syndrome and associated nasal hamartomas that resulted in nasolabial asymmetry, the first report of surgical outcome following treatment of Pai syndrome.
Repair of the Median Microform Cleft Lip Using Z-Plasty
TLDR
This work describes an intra-oral approach for repair of the median upper lip cleft using mucosal Z-plasty, which provides excellent access to the attenuated orbicularis oris muscle and the frenulum fibrosed to the labial margin.

Rare Craniofacial Clefts: Tessier No. 4 Clefts
TLDR
This paper examines the experience with eight patients treated primarily or secondarily for Tessier no. 4 clefts, finding that bone grafting should be undertaken at an early age using calvarial bone and late operations will be necessary for correction of medial and lateral canthal position, epiphora, lower eyelid skin deficiency, and further bony augmentation.

Tessier No. 4 Facial Cleft: Evolution of Surgical Treatment in a Large Series of Patients
TLDR
The great majority of Tessier no. 4 facial clefts can be appropriately treated using local flaps, and classic techniques are extremely useful, but long-term results could be improved if the technical modifications described were adopted.
