AIM To review the experience with hilar cholangiocarcinoma and to determine the results of a radical surgical approach in a UK centre. METHODS A 10-year review of all patients treated surgically for proximal bile duct carcinoma at a single surgical unit was conducted. Patient demographics, disease details and histopathology reports were reviewed.
