The surface ultrastructure of Heterophyes nocens (Trematoda: Heterophyidae) was studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The adult worms were recovered from experimentally infected cats and from a naturally infected patient. They were leaf-like, ventrally concave, and ovoid or pyriform in shape.
