The results are presented of experiments with artificial slicks carried out at different wind velocities and with different films in natural conditions. In particular, variations of the wave number and frequency spectra of the short wind waves at wavelengths of 4 cm-1 m and frequencies of 2–20 Hz in slicks are analysed.
