Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is proven to be a powerful tool for investigation of biological structures. In this study, tissues obtained from different rat organs are examined using SERS. The tissue samples are crushed with a pestle after sudden freezing in liquid nitrogen and mixed with a concentrated colloidal silver nanoparticle suspension.
