To reduce inappropriate therapy of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) include algorithms to discriminate ventricular tachycardia (VT) from SVT. Dual-chamber algorithms analyze atrial and ventricular rates or AV relationship.
