Tl-films with different additions of Tl2Se were condensed upon a quartz plate at 4 K. The superconducting transition temperature and the normal resistance were studied as a function of the

Zur Erzeugung amorpher Zinn-Schichten durch abschreckende Kondensation mit Fremdzusätzen

Thin films of Sn with additives are prepared by quench condensation. The annealing behaviour of the electrical resistivity and the transition to the superconducting state of these films are

Zum Hall-Effekt abschreckend kondensierter Metallschichten

Measurements of the annealing behaviour of the low-field Hall-coefficient are carried out on quenched films of Au, Pb, Zn and Tl, which are evaporated in vacuum at liquid helium temperatures. The

Could Negative Pressures Turn Bismuth into a Metal? The Case of the Expanded

Materials may behave in non-expected ways when subject to unexpected conditions. For example, when Bi was turned into an amorphous phase (a-Bi) unexpectedly it became a superconductor at temperatures

Electrical resistivity of CuCo solid solutions at low temperature

Metastable CuCo solid solutions are produced by vapour condensation onto a substrate held at 5 K. Co solved in Cu causes a negative temperature coefficient of the electrical resistivity at low

The effect of negative pressures on the superconductivity of amorphous and crystalline bismuth

Materials may behave in non-expected ways when subject to unexpected conditions. For example, when Bi was turned into an amorphous phase (a-Bi) unexpectedly it became a superconductor at temperatures

Oxide Superconductors as Model Systems for Studying Phase Relations, Stoichiometry, Reaction Kinetics, and Unconventional Glass Formability

The escalation of thermochemical research in the 1990s became a main engine in the search for yet new sorts of ceramic superconducting material, generally called the high-T c superconductors (HTSC),

Effective theory of superconductivity in strongly coupled amorphous materials

A theory of phonon-mediated superconductivity in strong-coupling amorphous materials is developed based on an effective description of structural disorder and its effect on the vibrational spectrum.

Superconductivity and electronic properties of amorphous transition metal alloys

Amorphous superconducting materials were first prepared over twenty years ago by Buckel and Hilsch [1] using the technique of evaporation onto a cryogenically cooled substrate. Since this early work
