Ontology is a discipline of Philosophy whose name dates back hundreds of years and whose practice dates back to Aristotle. Ontology is the study of the existence and nature of things, and includes questions such as, “what is a castle?” and “what is a hole?” The answers to these questions shed light on how we perceive and interact with the world.
