Effects of dietary supplementation of orotic acid to a diet containing the casein protein were compared with diets containing egg protein, soy protein, or wheat gluten on lipid levels in the liver and serum and activities of ornithine carbamoyltransferase (OCT) and alanine aminotransferase in the serum of rats.
