BACKGROUND Uterine arterial embolization (UAE) is a safe and effective therapy for symptomatic uterine leiomyoma. This study was to assess the effectiveness and the feasibility of pingyangmycin-lipiodol emulsion (PLE) for the management of symptomatic uterine leiomyoma.
