We analyze the superconformal index of the  = 3 supersymmetric generalized orientifold theories recently proposed. In the large N limit we derive the index from the Kaluza–Klein modes in AdS 5 × S 5 / Z k , which are obtained from ones in AdS 5 × S 5 by a simple Z k projection. For the ordinary Z 2 orientifold case the agreement with the gauge theory calculation is explicitly confirmed, and for Z k ≥ 3 we perform a few consistency checks with known results for  = 3 theories. We also study…

N = 3 Poincar´e Supergravity in Four Dimensions

: In this paper we use the superconformal approach to derive the action for N = 3 Poincar´e supergravity in four space-time dimensions. We first study the coupling of N = 3 vector multiplets to

Finite-N corrections to the superconformal index of S-fold theories

We study the superconformal index of S-fold theories by using the anti-de Sitter / conformal field theory correspondence. It is known that the index in the large-$N$ limit is reproduced as the

Bootstrapping N = 3 superconformal theories

We initiate the bootstrap program for N = 3 superconformal field theories (SCFTs) in four dimensions. We consider the problem from two fronts: the protected subsector described by a 2d chiral

TIT / HEP-670 January 2019 BPS Partition Functions for S-folds

We derive a formula for the BPS partition functions of arbitrary Sfold theories. We first generalize the known result for the N = 4 U(N) supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory to SO and Sp theories, and

We analyze four-dimensional (4d) N = 1 superconformal field theories (SCFTs) obtained as deformations of 4d N = 2 SCFTs on S-folds by tilting 7-branes. Geometric compatibility with the structures of

The N = 3 Weyl multiplet in four dimensions

: The main ingredient for local superconformal methods is the multiplet of gauge (cid:12)elds: the Weyl multiplet. We construct the transformations of this multiplet for N = 3, D = 4. The

Exceptional N=3 theories

: We present a new construction of four dimensional N = 3 theories, given by M5 branes wrapping a T 2 in an M-theory U-fold background. The resulting setup generalizes the one used in the usual class

Twin conformal field theories

A bstractSupersymmetric theories with the same bosonic content but different fermions, aka twins, were thought to exist only for supergravity. Here we show that pairs of super conformal field

Exceptional moduli spaces for exceptional N = 3 theories

It is expected on general grounds that the moduli space of 4d N = 3 theories is of the form C3r/Γ, with r the rank and Γ a crystallographic complex reflection group (CCRG). As in the case of Lie

On four dimensional N = 3 superconformal theories

A bstractIn this note we study four dimensional theories with N = 3 superconformal symmetry, that do not also have N = 4 supersymmetry. No examples of such theories are known, but their existence is

Superconformal Indices of N = 4 SYM Field Theories

. Superconformal indices (SCIs) of 4 d N = 4 SYM theories with simple gauge groups are described in terms of elliptic hypergeometric integrals. For F 4 , E 6 , E 7 , E 8 gauge groups this yields first

More on BPS States in N = 4 Supersymmetric

We perform a systematic analysis on supersymmetric states in N = 4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory (SYM) on R× S. We find a new set of 1/16 BPS equations and determine the precise configuration of

N=6 Supergravity on Ad S5 and the SU(2,2/3) Superconformal Correspondence

It is argued that N=6 supergravity on Ad S5, with the gauge group SU(3)× U(1) corresponds, at the classical level, to a subsector of the ‘chiral’ primary operators of N=4 Yang–Mills theories. This

$N=3$ four dimensional field theories

We briefly review a class of four dimensional $\mathcal N=3$ field theories constructed by taking a quotient of $\mathcal N=4$ SYM with gauge group $U(N)$. The quotient involves a discrete symmetry

AdS5 backgrounds with 24 supersymmetries

A bstractWe prove a non-existence theorem for smooth AdS5 solutions with connected, compact without boundary internal space that preserve strictly 24 supersymmetries. In particular, we show that D =

Baryons and branes in anti de Sitter space

In the mapping from four-dimensional gauge theories to string theory in AdS space, many features of gauge theory can be described by branes wrapped in different ways on S5, RP5, or subspaces

Deformations of superconformal theories

A bstractWe classify possible supersymmetry-preserving relevant, marginal, and irrelevant deformations of unitary superconformal theories in d ≥ 3 dimensions. Our method only relies on symmetries and

An Index for 4 Dimensional Super Conformal Theories

We present a trace formula for an index over the spectrum of four dimensional superconformal field theories on S3 ×  time. Our index receives contributions from states invariant under at least one
