Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most dominant causes of neoplasm-related deaths worldwide. In this study, we identify and characterize HCCL5, a novel cytoplasmic long noncoding RNA (lncRNA), as a crucial oncogene in HCC. HCCL5 promoted cell growth, G1-S transition, invasion, and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis of HCC cells both in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, HCCL5 was upregulated in TGF-β1-induced classical epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) models, and this lncRNA… Expand
LncRNA MFI2-AS1 promotes HCC progression and metastasis by acting as a competing endogenous RNA of miR-134 to upregulate FOXM1 expression.
TLDR
It is determined that MFI2-AS1 crucially acted in HCC progression via functioning as miR-134 sponge to upregulating FOXM1 expression, and was conducive to the promotion of better understanding the direct diagnostics and iatreusiology of lncRNA in H CC. Expand
LINC00978 promotes the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma by regulating EZH2-mediated silencing of p21 and E-cadherin expression
TLDR
Findings suggest that LINC00978 promotes HCC progression by inhibiting p21 and E-cadherin expression via EZH2-mediated epigenetic silencing and may represent a novel biomarker for HCC diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy. Expand
LncRNA OIP5-AS1 promotes cell proliferation and migration and induces angiogenesis via regulating miR-3163/VEGFA in hepatocellular carcinoma
TLDR
OIP5-AS1 affects HCC proliferation, metastasis, and angiogenesis in HCC by regulating VEGFA expression through sponging miR-3163, which can reverse the anti-tumor effect of OIP5 -AS1. Expand

LncRNA FOXP4-AS1 is activated by PAX5 and promotes the growth of prostate cancer by sequestering miR-3184-5p to upregulate FOXP4
TLDR
Mechanism analysis indicated that paired box 5 (PAX5) transcriptionally activated FOXP4-AS1 and FoxP4 in PCa and PAX5-induced upregulation of FOXP 4-as1/FOXP4 axis promoted tumorigenesis of PCa. Expand
