This work is devoted to the geometric approach to supergravity. More precisely, we interpret N = 1 supergravity as a super Cartan geometry which provides a link between supergravity and super Yang-Mills theory. To this end, we first review important aspects of the theory of supermanifolds and we establish a link between various different approaches. We will then use this gauge-theoretic interpretation and the methods of loop quantum gravity to canonically quantize this theory which preserves…
The present work provides a mathematically rigorous account on super fiber bundle theory, connection forms and their parallel transport, that ties together various approaches. We begin with a

In this article, the Cartan geometric approach toward (extended) supergravity in the presence of boundaries will be discussed. In particular, based on new developments in this field, we will derive

Recent work has shown that local supersymmetry on a spacetime boundary in N -extended AdS supergravity in chiral variables implies coupling to a boundary OSp( N| 2) C super Chern-Simons theory. We

Recently, many geometric aspects of N -extended AdS supergravity in chiral variables have been encountered and clarified. In particular, if the theory is supposed to be invariant under SUSY

We construct a gauge theory based in the supergroup G = SU(2, 2|2) that generalizes MacDowell-Mansouri supergravity. This is done introducing an extended notion of Hodge operator in the form of an

In this thesis we investigate a new formalism for supergeometry which focuses on the categorical properties of the theory. This approach is our main tool in the subsequent investigation of a global
The classical Wilson loop is the gauge-invariant trace of the parallel transport around a closed path with respect to a connection on a vector bundle over a smooth manifold. We build a precise

This book aims to fill the gap in the literature available on supermanifolds. In two sections, the book describes the different approaches to supermanifolds, with applications to physics, including

We show how super BF theory in any dimension an be quantized as a spin foam model, generalizing the situation for ordinary BF theory. This is a (cid:28)rst step toward quantizing supergravity
We reformulate superalgebra and supergeometry in completely categorical terms by a consequent use of the functor of points. The increased abstraction of this approach is rewarded by a number of great
In this paper, we provide an accessible introduction to the theory of locally convex supermanifolds in the categorical approach. In this setting, a supermanifold is a functorM : Gr→Man from the
