John Polhill ( received his B.S. from the University of Richmond and his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, having Harold Ward and James Davis as his advisors. He currently serves as an associate professor at Bloomsburg University. His areas of research include difference sets, coding theory, graph theory, and Galois (ring) theory. Among his other interests are spending time with his wife and children and, to a lesser extent, playing softball and basketball.
