Abstract

A cysteine-requiring mutant of the parent strain Escherichia coli Hfr Cavalli (RC(rel), Met(-), lambda) has been isolated. The mutant was selected by using replica plating after mutagenesis by N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine.
