The localization of a putative ATP-regulated K+ channel in normal rat and neurological mutant mice was studied by light microscopic quantitative autoradiography using a tritiated glibenclamide, an antidiabetic sulfonylurea. Glibenclamide binding sites presented a heterogeneous distribution in the rat central nervous system.
