Abstract

Sudden death during exertion is extremely rare. Among adults older than 30, coronary artery disease is the predominant cause of sudden death. Attention to risk factors and premonitory symptoms is the best prevention. Doing the appropriate testing, tailoring exercise programs, and discouraging denial help minimize the risk.
