Succinate-ubiquinone oxidoreductase (SQR) as part of the trichloroacetic acid cycle and menaquinol-fumarate oxidoreductase (QFR) used for anaerobic respiration by Escherichia coli are structurally and functionally related membrane-bound enzyme complexes.
