Investigation of the magnetism of ${\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}{\mathrm{Mo}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{9}$ single crystal, which has antiferromagnetic (AF) linear chains interacting with AF dimers, reveals an AF second-order phase transition at ${T}_{N}=7.9\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{K}$. Although weak-ferromagnetic-like behavior appears at lower temperatures in low magnetic fields, complete remanent magnetization cannot be detected down to $0.5\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{K}$. However, a jump is… Expand

Muon spin spectroscopy in multiferroic (Cu,Zn)$_{3}$Mo$_{2}$O$_{9}$
We present the muon spin relaxation/rotation spectra in the multiferroic compound (Cu,Zn)$_{3}$Mo$_{2}$O$_{9}$. The parent material Cu$_{3}$Mo$_{2}$O$_{9}$ has a multiferroic phase below $T_{\rm N}$Expand
Magnetic State of the Geometrically Frustrated Quasi-One-Dimensional Spin System Cu$_3$Mo$_2$O$_9$ Studied by Thermal Conductivity
We have measured the thermal conductivity of the geometrically frustrated quasi-onedimensional spin system Cu$_3$Mo$_2$O$_9$ in magnetic fields. A contribution of the thermal conductivity due toExpand

We study effects of magnetic field and pressure on the magnetic orders in Cu3Mo2O9, which shows an antiferromagnetic phase transition at TN = 7.9 K and a weak ferromagnetic one at Tc ≊ 2.5 K. TheseExpand
Magnetic excitations of the spin-1/2 tetramer substance Cu$_2$$^{114}Cd^{11}B_2O_6 obtained by inelastic neutron scattering experiments • Physics • 2015 We performed inelastic neutron scattering experiments on Cu_2$$^{114}$Cd$^{11}$B$_2$O$_6$ powder. The magnetic excitations at low temperatures are similar to those of the interacting spin-1/2Expand

Effects of substitution on quantum spin system having a nearly non-magnetic state and antiferromagnetic long-range order
• Chemistry
• 2009
The cuprate Cu2CdB2O6 has two Cu sites (Cu1 and Cu2). Cu1 spins are in a nearly non-magnetic state because of formation of AF dimers, while Cu2 spins form antiferromagnetic (AF) long-range order. WeExpand
Cu-NMR Study on the Quasi one Dimensional Antiferromagnet Cu3Mo2O9
Abstract Quasi one dimensional antiferromagnet Cu 3 Mo 2 O 9 consists of spin chains and inequivalent spin pairs clinging on them, and shows the magnetic order at T N = 7.9K. The local structure ofExpand
