Fourteen structural subunits of hemocyanins from two different infraorders of crustacea, brachyura (Maia squinado, Carcinus maenas) and astacidea (Homarus americanus) were isolated and characterized. N-terminal amino acid sequences were determined and compared with known sequences of crustacean and cheliceratan hemocyanins.
