Subsaxibacter arcticus sp. nov., isolated from Arctic intertidal sand.

A Gram-negative, orange-pigmented, aerobic, non-flagellated, rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain SM1214T, was isolated from Arctic intertidal sand collected from Kongsfjorden, Svalbard.
