A simple and highly sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography/fluorescence method was developed for the determination of benzo[a]pyrene (BaP)-tetrol I-1 released after acid hydrolysis of (+)-anti-BaP diol-epoxide (BPDE)-blood protein adducts.
