The observation of quantum-dot resonance fluorescence enabled a new solid-state approach to generating single photons with a bandwidth approaching the natural linewidth of a quantum-dot transition. Here, we operate in the small Rabi frequency limit of resonance fluorescence--the Heitler regime--to generate subnatural linewidth and high-coherence quantum light from a single quantum dot. The measured single-photon coherence is 30 times longer than the lifetime of the quantum-dot transition, and… Expand

Frequency-Stabilized Source of Single Photons from a Solid-State Qubit
Single quantum dots are solid-state emitters which mimic two-level atoms but with a highly enhanced spontaneous emission rate. A single quantum dot is the basis for a potentially excellent singleExpand
Cavity-enhanced coherent light scattering from a quantum dot
TLDR
A microcavity enhances the efficiency of resonant photon scattering, generating pure indistinguishable single photons, and deterministic excitation is used to create two-photon N00N states with which to make superresolving phase measurements in a photonic circuit. Expand
Resonance fluorescence from a telecom-wavelength quantum dot
We report on resonance fluorescence from a single quantum dot emitting at telecom wavelengths. We perform high-resolution spectroscopy and observe the Mollow triplet in the Rabi regime—a hallmark ofExpand
Near-Transform-Limited Single Photons from an Efficient Solid-State Quantum Emitter.
TLDR
A temporal and spectral analysis reveals the pulsed resonance fluorescence single photons are close to the transform limit, which are readily useful for multiphoton entanglement and interferometry experiments. Expand
Transform-limited single photons from a single quantum dot
TLDR
Transform-limited linewidths measured on second timescales are reported, primarily on the neutral exciton but also on the charged exciton close to saturation. Expand
Coherent Generation of Nonclassical Light on Chip via Detuned Photon Blockade.
TLDR
It is demonstrated that detuning the cavity and quantum-dot resonances enables the generation of high-purity nonclassical light from strongly coupled systems, making high-quality single-photon generation by photon blockade possible with current state-of-the-art samples. Expand
Two-photon physics with quantum-dot biexcitons
Emitters based on semiconductor quantum dots are promising sources for both single photons and pairs of polarization-entangled photons. Typically, single photons are generated through a photonExpand
Phase-locked indistinguishable photons with synthesized waveforms from a solid-state source.
TLDR
It is demonstrated that the coherently generated single photons from a single self-assembled InAs quantum dot display mutual coherence with the excitation laser on a timescale exceeding 3 s, and that separate photons generated coherently by the same laser field are fundamentally indistinguishable, lending themselves to the creation of distant entangling through quantum interference. The resonance fluorescence of single semiconductor quantum dots for the generation of indistinguishable photons.
Single semiconductor quantum dots, which are considered as two-level systems in the artificial atom model, are promising structures for the realization of integrated devices such as single photonExpand
Proposed Rabi-Kondo correlated state in a laser-driven semiconductor quantum dot.
TLDR
It is shown that the interplay between strong exchange and nonperturbative laser coupling leads to the formation of a new nonequilibrium quantum-correlated state, characterized by the emergence of a laser-induced secondary spin screening cloud, and the implications for the emission spectrum are examined. I am writing with a simple plea to balance the voluminous articles about treatment in your journal with a modicum of information about nature and caring effects to rekindle the perception of physicians as healers, not only treaters, who relish the gifts of nature, and foster the humanistic aspect of medicine that has thrived for millennia.
