Alkaline inorganic pyrophosphatase and Mg-ATPase are localized within the mitoplast of maize seeding mitochondria. NaF inhibited the PPase activity, whereas oligomycin and dicyclohexylcarbodiimide inhibited the Mg-ATPase activity.
