Abstract

The core of regional competitiveness assessment is to transfer multiple-unit complex calculation into one dimension aggregative variable comparison through information integration of original indexes, and assessment method should not only deal with the problem of information overlap, but also avoid the randomness of subjective valuation. The paper took textile industrial competitiveness assessment of China's thirty-one provinces as an example to conduct empirical study, and the research results was of guidance significance for distinguishing the strong and weak textile provinces, which was helpful for us to get hold of the principal contradiction, and provided the decision-making reference for the development and planning of regional textile industry.
