A series of chitosan-gelatin composite films was prepared by varying the ratio of constituents. FT-IR and X-ray analysis showed good compatibility between these two biopolymers. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis indicated that the water take-up of chitosan film increased when blended with gelatin.
