Poly(NAP-2) is a novel conducting polymer film obtained by electrochemical oxidation of 2-naphthol. The polymer structure consists of polymers P and oligomers Q. The P structure comprises alternate naphthylene and furan rings while the Q structure bears quinonoid groups in the chain. The electrochemical oxidation-reduction of the two forms P and Q in poly(NAP-2) film was studied.
