Puerariae Flos, the flowers of Pueraria. lobata (WILLD.) OHWI, is an important oriental crude drug used to ameliorate crapulence. In the preceding paper,' we described two triterpenoidal glycosides of the sophoradiol glucuronides, along with the known six aromatic compounds, kakkalide, daidzin, genistin, rutin, robinin and nicotiflorin. This paper further deals with a tryptophan derivative, tentatively named PF-P, obtained from this plant. PF-P (1), an amorphous powder, [ƒ¿]D + 19.7•‹ (dimethyl… Expand
New hepatoprotective isoflavone glucosides from Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi
TLDR
Two new isoflavone glucosides are identified and their structures are elucidated by the means of spectroscopic and chromatographic analysis methods and all compounds showed statistically significant hepatoprotective effect on HepG2 cells. Expand
Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of Pueraria lobata root and its constituents.
TLDR
The results of the present study clearly demonstrate the potential of P. lobata extract and its constituents to inhibit PTP1B and α-glucosidase, contributing to the development of therapeutic or preventive agents that can be used in the treatment of diabetes. Expand
Flavonoids from the Flowers of Pueraria lobata
A new isoflavonoid glycoside, gehuain, together with three flavonoids and eight isoflavonoids, was isolated from the flowers of Pueraria lobata. Three of them, apigenin, apigenin 4′-O-β-D-glucoside,Expand
N,beta-D-Glucopyranosyl vincosamide, a light regulated indole alkaloid from the shoots of Psychotria leiocarpa.
From leaves of Psychotria leiocarpa, an indole alkaloid was isolated to which the structure N,beta-D-glucopyranosyl vincosamide (1) was assigned. This represents the first report of an N-glycosylatedExpand
study of substance changes in flowers ofpueraria thunbergiana benth. during storage
TLDR
This study demonstrates that the substances undergo a certain degree of change depending on the storage period by the method of HPLC andp13C-NMR, and that the HPLC analysis can be used to determine the freshness of Puerar-iae Flos. Expand
Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities of constituents isolated from Pueraria lobata roots
TLDR
Results indicate that P. lobata roots and its constituents may be a useful therapeutic and preventive approach to various inflammatory diseases and oxidative stress-related disease. Expand
A new isoflavone glycoside from Pueraria alopecuroides
A new isoflavone glycoside, (−)-tuberosin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), along with 10 known compounds 1a-10, was isolated from Pueraria alopecuroides. Their structures were determined on the basis ofExpand
Inhibitory activity of isoflavones of Pueraria flowers on nitric oxide production from lipopolysaccharide-activated primary rat microglia
TLDR
The results suggest that isoflavonoids of Pueraria flowers may be of therapeutic potential in alcoholism related to microglial activation. Expand
Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi
TLDR
A dry root of Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi or P. thomsonii Benth collected in the fall and winter is used as a muscle relaxant, antipyretic, antidysenteric, and for treatment of hypertension. Expand
Detection Method for Identification of Pueraria mirifica (Thai kudzu) in Processed Foods
TLDR
The developed PCR method would be applicable to food safety management for illegally distributed products in markets and internet shopping malls and species-specific primers distinguished P. mirifica from related species were able to apply food materials and processed foods. Expand
