Summary.- Three new and three known species of thornenematid nematodes are described and illustrated from South India. Thornenema coomansi sp. n. is characterized by having 0.73 — 0.86 mm long body, offset lip region, weak labial sclerotization but with strong post-labial sclerotization, convex-conoid female tail with dorsally bent posterior part, and with short conoid male tail.
