Galvanic Replacement-Driven Transformations of Atomically Intermixed Bimetallic Colloidal Nanocrystals: Effects of Compositional Stoichiometry and Structural Ordering.

It is shown that atomically intermixed bimetallic nanocrystals undergo galvanic replacement-driven structural transformations remarkably more complicated than those of their monometallic counterparts.

Polymorphism in Non‐Fullerene Acceptors Based on Indacenodithienothiophene

Organic solar cells incorporating non‐fullerene acceptors (NFAs) have reached remarkable power conversion efficiencies of over 18%. Unlike fullerene derivatives, NFAs tend to crystallize from

Transition pathways connecting crystals and quasicrystals

The proposed computational methodology not only reveals the mechanism of nucleation of quasicrystals, but also paves the way to investigate a wide range of physical problems undergoing the first-order phase transitions.

On the Keller–Rubinow model for Liesegang ring formation

The model of Keller & Rubinow, describing the formation of Liesegang rings due to Ostwald's supersaturation mechanism, is concluded that the model is not fully posed, lacking a transition variable which can describe the hysteretic switch across the nucleation threshold.

Hydrothermal Synthesis of Wurtzite and Sphalerite at T=350°-250°C

Wurtzite and sphalerite were synthesized hydrothermally at 350•‹, 300•‹ and 250•Ž using a temperature-gradient transporting method with sphalerite as a starting mineral. Fibrous wurtzite together

Sodium acetate orientated hollow/mesoporous magnetite nanoparticles: Facile synthesis, characterization and formation mechanism

Monodispersed magnetite (Fe3O4) nanospheres with hollow or porous interior structures were synthesized by a facile one-pot solvothermal route. The facile synthetic process was carried out by using

Surface engineering for improved stability of CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals.

It is found that the morphological transformation from nanocrystal solids to microscale rectangular solids occurs via Ostwald ripening, and a surface treatment with a surfactant suppresses the transformation, which improves the stability of NC solution, as well as their photoluminescence performance and quantum yield.
