The objective of this study was to elaborate the distribution of carbohydrate in intestine tissue of water monitor using histochemical method. Intestinal organ from an adult male water monitor was collected after perfused and subsequently fixed in paraformaldehyde 4%. Intestinal organ was divided to six regions e.g. I to VI and then processed to histological slides.
