Activated Factor XIII a2 catalyzes the formation of intermolecular gamma-glutamyl- epsilon -lysyl cross-links in the fibrin network. Solution NMR studies were carried out to characterize, the structural features associated with the binding of glutamine-containing peptides to Factor XIII.
