A theory describing above-threshold ionization of atoms and ions in a strong electromagnetic field is presented. It is based on the widely known strong field approximation and incorporates the Coulomb interaction between the photoelectron and the nucleus using the method of complex classical trajectories. A central result of the theory is the Coulomb-corrected ionization amplitude whose evaluation requires little extra numerical effort. By comparing our predictions with the results of ab initio…
Inclusion of Coulomb effects in laser-atom interactions
We investigate the role of the Coulomb interaction in strong field processes. We find that the Coulomb field of the ion makes its presence known even in highly intense laser fields, in contrast to

Recently, in a strong Coulomb field regime of tunneling ionization an unexpected large enhancement of photoelectron spectra due to the Coulomb field of the atomic core has been identified by
Invariant form of Coulomb corrections in the theory of nonlinear ionization of atoms by intense laser radiation
Using the imaginary time method, a new formulation of Coulomb corrections to the amplitude of nonlinear ionization of atoms is given. The Coulomb corrections to the photoelectron action and
Influence of the Coulomb potential on above-threshold ionization: A quantum-orbit analysis beyond the strong-field approximation
We perform a detailed analysis of how the interplay between the residual binding potential and a strong laser field influences above-threshold ionization (ATI), employing a semianalytical,
Trajectory-Based Coulomb-Corrected Strong Field Approximation
The strong field approximation (SFA) is one of the most successful theoretical approaches to tackle the problem of atomic or molecular ionization in intense laser fields. In the semi-classical limit,
Electron–electron correlation in strong laser fields
In the context of strong field–matter interaction, an increasing number of phenomena has been found to be not understood within the single-active-electron approximation. For such phenomena,

Coulomb asymmetry in above-threshold ionization.
TLDR
A new method for including effects of the Coulomb potential in strong-field laser atom interaction is presented and shows that this strong asymmetry for the low-energy electrons is induced by a small Coulomb force acting on the tunneling electron just after the exit of the tunnel.
Coulomb singularity in the transverse momentum distribution for strong-field single ionization
