We discuss a grand unified theory (GUT) based on an $SO(32)$ GUT gauge group broken to its subgroups including a special subgroup. In the $SO(32)$ GUT on six-dimensional (6D) orbifold space $M^4\times T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$, one generation of the SM fermions can be embedded into a 6D bulk Weyl fermion in the $SO(32)$ vector representation. We show that for a three generation model, all the 6D and 4D gauge anomalies in the bulk and on the fixed points are canceled out without exotic chiral fermions… Expand

Family Unification in Special Grand Unification
We discuss family unification in grand unified theory (GUT) based on an $SU(19)$ GUT gauge group broken to its subgroups including a special subgroup. In the $SU(19)$ GUT on the six-dimensional (6D)Expand
$USp(32)$ Special Grand Unification
We discuss a grand unified theory (GUT) based on a $USp(32)$ GUT gauge group broken to its subgroups including a special subgroup. A GUT based on an $SO(32)$ GUT gauge group has been discussed onExpand
Orbifold family unification using vectorlike representation on six dimensions
In orbifold family unification on the basis of $SU(N)$ gauge theory on the six-dimensional space-time $M^4\times T^2/Z_m$ ($m=2, 3, 4, 6$), enormous numbers of models with three families of theExpand
Electroweak Symmetry Breaking and Mass Spectra in Six-Dimensional Gauge-Higgs Grand Unification
The mass spectra of the standard model particles are reproduced in the $SO(11)$ gauge-Higgs grand unification in the six-dimensional warped space without introducing exotic light fermions. LightExpand
Is Symmetry Breaking into Special Subgroup Special?
The purpose of this paper is to show that symmetry breaking into special subgroups is not special at all, contrary to the usual wisdom. To demonstrate this explicitly, we examine the dynamicalExpand
Linear Collider Signals of $Z'$ Bosons in GUT Inspired Gauge-Higgs Unification
In gauge-Higgs unification (GHU), the 4D Higgs boson appears as a part of the fifth dimensional component of 5D gauge field. Recently, an SO(11) GUT inspired SO(5) × U(1) × SU(3) GHU model has beenExpand
Dynamical breaking to special or regular subgroups in the SO(N) Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model
It was recently shown that in four-dimensional $SU(N)$ Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) type models, the $SU(N)$ symmetry breaking into its special subgroups is not special but much more common than thatExpand
Fermion pair production at e−e+ linear collider experiments in GUT inspired gauge-Higgs unification
Fermion pair production at e-e+ linear collider experiments with polarized e- and e+ beams is examined in the GUT inspired SO(5)×U(1)×SU(3) gauge-Higgs unification. There arises large parityExpand

Abstract We investigate a 5D SU ( 6 ) grand gauge-Higgs unification model compactified on an orbifold S 1 / Z 2 . Ordinary quarks and leptons, together with right-handed neutrinos, are justExpand
Gauge symmetry breaking patterns in an SU(5) grand gauge-Higgs unification model

Gauge-Higgs seesaw mechanism in 6-dimensional grand unification
$SO(11)$ gauge-Higgs grand unification is formulated in the six-dimensional hybrid warped space in which the fifth and sixth dimensions play as the electroweak and grand-unification dimensions.Expand

Classification of Standard Model Particles in $E_6$ Orbifold Grand Unified Theories
We classify the standard model fermions, which originate from bulk fields of the 27 or representation after orbifold breaking, in E6 grand unified theories on five- or six-dimensional space–time,Expand
Toward Realistic Gauge-Higgs Grand Unification

Unification in 5D SO(10)
Gauge unification in a five dimensional supersymmetric SO(10) model compactified on an orbifold S1/(Z2 ? Z2') is studied. One orbifolding reduces N = 2 supersymmetry to N = 1, and the other breaksExpand
