We discuss a grand unified theory (GUT) based on an $SO(32)$ GUT gauge group broken to its subgroups including a special subgroup. In the $SO(32)$ GUT on six-dimensional (6D) orbifold space $M^4\times T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$, one generation of the SM fermions can be embedded into a 6D bulk Weyl fermion in the $SO(32)$ vector representation. We show that for a three generation model, all the 6D and 4D gauge anomalies in the bulk and on the fixed points are canceled out without exotic chiral fermions… Expand

Family Unification in Special Grand Unification
We discuss family unification in grand unified theory (GUT) based on an $SU(19)$ GUT gauge group broken to its subgroups including a special subgroup. In the $SU(19)$ GUT on the six-dimensional (6D)Expand
$USp(32)$ Special Grand Unification
We discuss a grand unified theory (GUT) based on a $USp(32)$ GUT gauge group broken to its subgroups including a special subgroup. A GUT based on an $SO(32)$ GUT gauge group has been discussed onExpand

Electroweak Symmetry Breaking and Mass Spectra in Six-Dimensional Gauge-Higgs Grand Unification
• Physics

The mass spectra of the standard model particles are reproduced in the $SO(11)$ gauge-Higgs grand unification in the six-dimensional warped space without introducing exotic light fermions. LightExpand
Is Symmetry Breaking into Special Subgroup Special?

The purpose of this paper is to show that symmetry breaking into special subgroups is not special at all, contrary to the usual wisdom. To demonstrate this explicitly, we examine the dynamicalExpand
Linear Collider Signals of $Z'$ Bosons in GUT Inspired Gauge-Higgs Unification
• Physics
• 2021
In gauge-Higgs unification (GHU), the 4D Higgs boson appears as a part of the fifth dimensional component of 5D gauge field. Recently, an SO(11) GUT inspired SO(5) × U(1) × SU(3) GHU model has beenExpand
Dynamical breaking to special or regular subgroups in the SO(N) Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model
• Physics
• Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics
• 2020
It was recently shown that in four-dimensional $SU(N)$ Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) type models, the $SU(N)$ symmetry breaking into its special subgroups is not special but much more common than thatExpand
