AIMS We report the identification of the bisphenol A (BPA) biodegradability in Streptomyces sp. strain isolated from river water. METHODS AND RESULTS The water samples spiked with BPA (1 mg l(-1)) and the culture solution of Streptomyces sp. strain were placed at 30 degrees C for 10 days and were analysed by high-performance liquid chromatography.
