Urban Entomol. 19(2): 85–94 (April 2002) ABSTRACT Barrier sprays of lambda-cyhalothrin, deltamethrin, chlorpyrifos, cyfluthrin, and bifenthrin were applied outside homes at several rates and in two different barrier configurations to control Argentine ants, Linepithema humile (Mayr). Based on periodic monitoring of numbers of foraging ants, lambda-cyhalothrin sprays (0.03 and 0.015% AI) reduced ant activity >80% for 8 wk.
