Abstract Medicinal plants are believed to be an important source of potential therapeutic agents. This study investigates the effects of Antidesma madagascariense (AM) extract on the transport of D-glucose, L-tyrosine, fluid and electrolytes (Na+ and K+) across rat everted intestinal sacs.
