1. Intracellular recordings were made from neurones of the guinea-pig inferior mesenteric ganglion (IMG) maintained in vitro with both ureters and major nerve trunks attached. Afferent fibres in the ureteric nerve were activated by electrical, chemical and mechanical stimuli. 2.
