There are several methods used for sterilization. In those methods chlorine, heat and UV rays are traditionally used. In recent years, the UV sterilization is taken notice as a sterilization method that the sterilized object does not change in quality and is environment-friendly. In this paper, an UV-LED is focused because it does not contain harmful substance and has longer operating life. The results have showed that complete germicidal effects for E. coli and Vibrio parahaemolyticus by UV…
Qualitative Studies on Quartz Filters Used in Ultraviolet Sterilization System
In this paper, we have summarized our findings on the use of suitable filters and the methods of configuring them for effective transmission of ultraviolet (UV) rays with the known wavelength of
A new colored beverage disinfection system using UV-A light-emitting diodes.
TLDR
Although less effective in colored solutions and commercially available orange juice than in the positive control PBS, the UV-A-LED holds potential for further development and use to ensure food and water safety.
Cost-Effective Disinfection Robot Using UVC Radiation
TLDR
A Low cost UV sanitization Robot which can be used in small clinics and for household purpose which lowers the threat of infection, cost of traditional cleaning and sterilisation and increases security in medical facilities.
Advances in the development of ultraviolet sterilization system for specific biological applications
The scope of the paper is to investigate the design of an ultraviolet sterilization unit developed to work in conjunction with a fluid dispenser for dispensing fluids in measured quantities
Recent advances on the application of UV-LED technology for microbial inactivation: Progress and mechanism.
TLDR
This review provides an insight into UV light-emitting diodes (UV-LEDs)' potential as an alternative to the traditional UV lamps for microbial inactivation in liquid and solid media and UVC-LED has the most antimicrobial effect with the most efficient micropollutants decomposition with regards to UV-LED-based AOPs.
DISINFECTION ROBOT USING UV RAYS
Service robots are increasingly present in all fields of Medicine. The aim of the present work is to contribute in the fight against the spread of COVID-19, a novel human coronavirus in hospitals,
Photovoltaic powered ultraviolet and visible light-emitting diodes for sustainable point-of-use disinfection of drinking waters.
TLDR
While UV-C LED technology should mature in the next 10 years, research is also needed to address other unresolved barriers to in situ application as well as emerging research opportunities especially UV-A, photocatalyst/photosensitiser use and pulsed emission options.
Nulo efecto bactericida de la radiación ultravioleta emitida por diodos LED.
This research has aimed to assess the bactericidal effect of ultraviolet light emitted by LEDS on the growth on Petri dishes of microorganisms whose legal limits in foods have been established. An
Study on Compound Humidifier Employing UV-LED using Environmental Life Cycle Assessment
In this study, we assessed environmental impacts of compound humidifiers using environmental life cycle assessment and presented the ways to improvements in energy consumption of them. We found
Review of microbial touchscreen contamination for the determination of reasonable ultraviolet disinfection doses
Background: Touchscreens are usually microbially contaminated and can therefore act as fomites inside and outside healthcare environments. Due to the increasing use of such touchscreens and the

Effects of Ultraviolet LED on Bacteria
Sterilization technology is absolutely essential for our daily life. For example, it is used for water and sewerage system, foods, and medicine. Method that widely used for sterilization are using
UV Excimer Lamp Irradiation of Fibroblasts: The Influence on Antioxidant Homeostasis
UV excimer lamps are efficient and economical narrowband sources of UVB and UVC radiation. Potentially, these lamps may be used in bacterial disinfection or in minor cosmetic procedures, but safety
Testing the equivalency of ultraviolet light and chlorine for disinfection of wastewater to reclamation standards
Full-scale ultraviolet (UV) light and chlorine disinfection systems were operated in parallel using nitrified and partially denitrified tertiary treated wastewater effluent. A UV dose of 75 mW.s/cm 2
Comparative assessment of chlorine, heat, ozone, and UV light for killing Legionella pneumophila within a model plumbing system
TLDR
All four methods proved efficacious in eradicating L. pneumophila from a model plumbing system andHigher temperature enhanced the disinfecting efficacy of chlorine, but higher temperature accelerated the decomposition of the chlorine residual such that an additional 120% volume of chlorine was required.
Performance of Modified Asphalt Aging under Ultraviolet Radiation
In an intensive ultraviolet radiation and low average annual temperature area, photo-oxidation is one of the main causes for road asphalt aging. This paper investigated the magnitude and wave range
Comparative Research of Efficiency of Water Decontamination by UV Radiation of Cold Hollow Cathode Discharge Plasma Versus That of Low- and Medium-Pressure Mercury Lamps
In this paper, the results of experimental studies of peculiarities of Escherichia coli water suspension inactivation by ultraviolet radiation of hollow cathode discharge plasma in different gaseous
Salmonella enteritidis FliC (Flagella Filament Protein) Induces Human β-Defensin-2 mRNA Production by Caco-2 Cells*
TLDR
It is concluded that S. enteritidis FliC induces hBD-2 expression in Caco-2 cells via NF-κB activation and thus plays an important role in up-regulation of the innate immune response.
Genome sequence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus: a pathogenic mechanism distinct from that of V cholerae
TLDR
This finding explains clinical features of V parahaemolyticus infections, which commonly include inflammatory diarrhoea and in some cases systemic manifestations such as septicaemia, distinct from those of V cholerae infections,Which are generally associated with non-inflammatory diarrhoeA.
Talin, a host cell protein, interacts directly with the translocated intimin receptor, Tir, of enteropathogenic Escherichia coli, and is essential for pedestal formation
TLDR
It is demonstrated that talin is essential for EPEC‐induced pedestal formation in infected cells, and microinjection of anti‐talin antibodies into HeLa cells resulted in the complete inability to focus actin filaments beneath the attached bacterium.
