Trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) and Centaurs are remnants of our planetary system formation, and their physical properties have invaluable information for evolutionary theories. Stellar occultation is a ground-based method for studying these small bodies and has presented exciting results. These observations can provide precise profiles of the involved body, allowing an accurate determination of its size and shape. The goal is to show that even single-chord detections of TNOs allow us to measure…

Refined physical parameters for Chariklo’s body and rings from stellar occultations observed between 2013 and 2020
Context. The Centaur (10199) Chariklo has the first ring system discovered around a small object. It was first observed using stellar occultation in 2013. Stellar occultations allow sizes and shapes

Candidate stellar occultations by Centaurs and trans-Neptunian objects up to 2014
Context. We study trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) from stellar occultations. Aims. We predict stellar occultations from 2012.5 to the end of 2014 by 5 Centaurs and 34 TNOs. Methods. These predictions
Candidate stellar occultations by large trans-Neptunian objects up to 2015
We study large trans-neptunian objects (TNOs) using stellar occultations. We derive precise astrometric predictions for stellar occultations by Eris, Haumea, Ixion, Makemake, Orcus, Quaoar, Sedna,
Orbit determination of trans-Neptunian objects and Centaurs for the prediction of stellar occultations
Context. The prediction of stellar occultations by trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) and Centaurs is a difficult challenge that requires accuracy both in the occulted star position and in the object
Database on detected stellar occultations by small outer Solar System objects
Observation of stellar occultation by objects of the Solar System is a powerful technique that allows measurements of size and shape of the small bodies with accuracies in the order of the kilometre.
Results from a triple chord stellar occultation and far-infrared photometry of the trans-Neptunian object (229762) 2007 UK126
Context. A stellar occultation by a trans-Neptunian object (TNO) provides an opportunity to probe the size and shape of these distant solar system bodies. In the past seven years, several
Stellar occultation by (119951) 2002 KX14 on April 26, 2012
Context. Trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) are important bodies, but very little is known about their basic physical properties such as size, density, and albedo. Aims. We intend to determine sizes,
The Structure of Chariklo’s Rings from Stellar Occultations
Two narrow and dense rings (called C1R and C2R) were discovered around the Centaur object (10199) Chariklo during a stellar occultation observed on 2013 June 3. Following this discovery, we planned
